I have BT Infinity with a HH3 router. Every morning my iPhone would refuse to connect to the internet and I found that turning Wireless off on the iPhone for a while was the only way to get it connected again without restarting the router. Needless to say this bugged me. Was it the iPhone having a problem or the Router? I put up with it for a week or two but I decided one day to have another look through all the settings on the router.
I thought I’d write a post about this because it was an infuriating problem with an easy solution. It might not apply to you, if your having the same problem but worth checking.
I had tried out the Access Control feature where you can block internet access to a specific device during certain hours. Even though the feature was disabled, the entry for my iPhone that I’d used to test it was still there and corresponded with the time of day I was loosing the internet. Once I had removed the entry the problem went away. So it’s worth checking the Access Control settings if your having a similar problem – it must be a bug in the firmware (Software version V100R001C01B031SP12_L_B)
